Mumpumampu Airport

Mumpumampu Airport is a small, remote airstrip located in Australia, serving the indigenous community of Mumpumampu. It operates as a basic general aviation facility, providing essential air access to a community that would otherwise be highly isolated from larger population centres. The airport carries the ICAO identifier AU-0287 and has no assigned IATA code, reflecting its status as a minor local aerodrome rather than a commercial airport. Facilities are minimal, consistent with other remote community airstrips across the Australian outback. Air transport is critical for communities like Mumpumampu, supporting medical evacuations, supply deliveries, and essential passenger travel. The airstrip is typical of the network of small aerodromes that connect remote indigenous communities across northern and central Australia.
