The Fokker F28 Fellowship is a short-range twin-engine jet airliner developed by Fokker of the Netherlands. Designed as a complement to the turboprop Fokker F27 Friendship, it entered service in 1969 and became one of Europe's most successful regional jets of its era.
The F28 was produced in several variants (Mk 1000 through Mk 6000), differing in fuselage length and wing configuration. It seated between 55 and 85 passengers depending on variant, serving regional routes for airlines worldwide across Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Asia.
Production ended in 1987 with 241 aircraft built. The F28 paved the way for Fokker's later Fokker 70 and Fokker 100 jets. Although largely retired from major carriers, a small number continued operating with regional and charter airlines into the 2000s.
