Iberia Express

Iberia Express is a Spanish low-cost carrier founded in 2012 as a wholly owned subsidiary of International Airlines Group (IAG), the parent company of Iberia. It was created to operate short and medium-haul routes, primarily out of Madrid-Barajas Airport, helping Iberia reduce operating costs on point-to-point routes while feeding traffic into Iberia's long-haul network. The airline operates under IATA code I2 and ICAO code IBS, serving destinations across Europe and the Mediterranean. As a low-cost subsidiary, it offers competitive fares while maintaining connections to Iberia's wider route network and frequent flyer program, Iberia Plus. Iberia Express has grown steadily since its launch, becoming an important component of IAG's strategy in the Spanish market. It competes with other low-cost carriers such as Vueling, Ryanair, and easyJet on key European routes.
