Daallo Airlines

Daallo Airlines is a privately owned regional carrier based in Djibouti, operating scheduled and charter passenger services across East Africa, the Horn of Africa, and the Middle East. Founded in the early 1990s, it has served as one of the few airlines providing consistent air links to Somalia and other underserved destinations in the region. The airline has faced significant operational challenges over the years, including security incidents and the difficulties of operating in conflict-affected areas. Despite these hurdles, Daallo has maintained a presence on routes where few other carriers venture, serving cities such as Mogadishu, Hargeisa, Bosaso, and Djibouti. Daallo Airlines has at times operated in cooperation with other regional carriers and has played an important role in humanitarian and commercial air transport across one of the world's most challenging aviation environments.
