Scat Air

Scat Air is a Kazakhstani private airline founded in 1999, operating scheduled passenger and cargo services across domestic routes within Kazakhstan as well as select international destinations in the CIS region and beyond. The carrier is one of the larger privately owned airlines in Kazakhstan, serving cities that lack adequate ground transport connections. The airline is based in Shymkent, Kazakhstan, and operates flights from multiple Kazakhstani airports including Almaty and Nur-Sultan (Astana). Scat Air has expanded its network over the years to include routes to Russia, Georgia, Turkey, and other neighboring countries. Scat Air has faced scrutiny from European aviation authorities and has at times appeared on the EU Air Safety List, reflecting concerns about safety oversight in the region. Despite this, the airline continues to operate and remains a significant player in the Kazakhstani domestic market.
