Aeroflot-Nord was a Russian regional airline that operated as a subsidiary of Aeroflot, Russia's flagship carrier. Based in Arkhangelsk, the airline served domestic routes across northern Russia and provided connections to Moscow and other major Russian cities. The airline gained significant international attention following the tragic crash of Aeroflot-Nord Flight 821 on September 14, 2008, near Perm, Russia, which killed all 88 people on board. The accident was attributed to pilot error and crew incapacitation due to alcohol consumption. Following investigations and regulatory scrutiny after the Perm disaster, Aeroflot-Nord underwent restructuring.
