Blaise Diagne International Airport (DSS) is the primary international airport serving Dakar, the capital of Senegal. It is named after Blaise Diagne, the first Black African elected to the French National Assembly. The airport replaced the older Léopold Sédar Senghor International Airport, which was located much closer to the city center and had significant capacity and expansion constraints. The airport is located approximately 47 kilometers southeast of central Dakar, near the town of Diass. It was designed to handle significantly higher passenger volumes than its predecessor and serves as the main hub for Air Senegal as well as a transit point for various international carriers connecting West Africa to Europe, the Middle East, and beyond. The facility features modern infrastructure including a large terminal, extensive apron space, and a runway capable of accommodating wide-body aircraft. Its opening marked a significant upgrade in Senegal's aviation capacity and regional connectivity.

Blaise Diagne International Airport, is an international airport near the town of Diass in Thiès Region, Senegal, 43 km (27 mi) east of downtown Dakar. It serves as the main airport for Dakar, replacing Léopold Sédar Senghor International Airport, which had become too small. It is named after Blaise Diagne, the first black African elected to France's parliament in 1914. Regular flights are operated to destinations across many parts of Africa, as well as to Europe, Macaronesia, the Middle East, the United States, and Canada.
