RAF Cosford

RAF Cosford is a Royal Air Force station located near Albrighton in Shropshire, England. It serves primarily as a military base hosting No. 1 Radio School, the Defence College of Aeronautical Engineering, and various training units. The station has played an important role in technical and engineering training for the RAF for many decades. The site is also home to the RAF Museum Cosford, one of the largest aviation museums in the United Kingdom, which is open to the public free of charge. The museum houses an extensive collection of military and civilian aircraft spanning over a century of aviation history. As a military airfield, RAF Cosford is not open to commercial passenger traffic and has no scheduled airline services. The airfield supports light aircraft operations, training flights, and occasional airshows, including the popular Cosford Air Show held annually.
