Krzesiny Military Air Base (ICAO: EPKS) is a Polish Air Force installation located in the southeastern outskirts of Poznań, Poland. It serves as one of the primary tactical fighter bases in the country and has a long history dating back to the interwar period. The base is home to the 31st Tactical Air Base, which operates the F-16C/D Fighting Falcon aircraft, making it one of the most capable fighter units in the Polish Armed Forces. Poland acquired its F-16 fleet under a government-to-government agreement with the United States in the early 2000s. Krzesiny is a restricted military installation and is not open to civilian commercial traffic. It plays a significant role in NATO's collective defense posture in Central Europe, frequently participating in alliance exercises and quick-reaction alert missions.
