Powidz Military Air Base

Powidz Military Air Base (ICAO: EPPW) is a major Polish Air Force installation located near the town of Powidz in the Wielkopolska region of central Poland. It serves as one of the most strategically important military airfields in the country, hosting fighter and transport aviation units. The base has gained increased significance within NATO's Eastern Flank posture, hosting rotational deployments of allied aircraft and ground forces. It has been used for exercises and forward presence missions, particularly following heightened security concerns in Central and Eastern Europe. Powidz does not serve commercial passenger traffic and has no civilian terminal facilities. Its infrastructure is dedicated entirely to military operations, including large cargo aircraft capable of supporting heavy airlift missions.
