Hoonah Airport

Hoonah Airport (IATA: HNH, ICAO: PAOH) is a small public-use airport located in Hoonah, Alaska, on Chichagof Island in the Southeast Alaska panhandle. It serves as a vital air link for the predominantly Tlingit community of Hoonah, which has no road connection to the broader Alaska highway system. The airport is owned by the State of Alaska and operates a single paved runway, supporting small regional aircraft that provide essential passenger and cargo services to this remote community. Given Hoonah's isolation, air travel alongside the Alaska Marine Highway ferry system represents the primary means of reaching the town. Hoonah is also known as the gateway to Icy Strait Point, a cruise ship destination and Alaska Native-owned tourism development, which has increased visitor traffic to the region in recent years.
