Landikma Airstrip

Landikma Airstrip is a small, remote airstrip located in the highland interior of Papua province, Indonesia. It serves the isolated community of Landikma and surrounding villages, providing critical air access to an area with no viable road connections to major population centers. The airstrip is typical of highland Papua facilities, featuring a short unpaved or gravel runway that accommodates small propeller-driven aircraft. It plays a vital role in humanitarian, missionary, and supply operations for the local population. Mission aviation organizations, particularly Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF), have historically been among the primary operators serving this and similar remote Papuan airstrips, providing medical evacuation, cargo, and passenger services to otherwise inaccessible communities.
