Murindo Airport

Murindo Airport is a small, remote airstrip located in the municipality of Murindo in the Antioquia department of northwestern Colombia. It serves as a vital lifeline for the local community, which is largely inaccessible by road due to the dense jungle and challenging terrain of the Chocó biogeographic region. The airport primarily handles light aircraft and small regional planes, supporting humanitarian missions, cargo deliveries, and occasional passenger flights. Air transport is essentially the only practical means of reaching Murindo from major urban centers such as Medellín.
