Yucca Airstrip

Yucca Airstrip is a small, restricted airfield located at the Nevada National Security Site (formerly the Nevada Test Site) near Mercury, Nevada. It serves as a utility airstrip for government and contractor personnel working at the federal facility, which is administered by the National Nuclear Security Administration. The airstrip is not open to the public and handles no commercial traffic. It exists primarily to support operations at the sprawling federal reservation, which has historically been used for nuclear weapons testing and continues to support national security research and activities.
