No car needed within Enampor — the village is compact — but you will need transport to reach it and to access any services (market, health clinic, ATM) in Ziguinchor or nearby towns.

Ziguinchor Airport (ZIG) serves the regional capital with connections to Dakar. From the airport, arrange onward transport to Enampor in advance; there is no public shuttle.

Families & Groups

Impluvium compound stays can work well for families in that they offer a self-contained communal environment and direct exposure to village life, which can be educationally rich for older children. However, facilities are basic: no swimming pools, playgrounds, or children's menus. Families with very young children should carefully assess the physical layout of impluvium structures (open courtyards, steps, no childproofing) and the lack of nearby medical facilities.
