MexicanaLink

MexicanaLink was a regional airline that operated as a subsidiary and feeder carrier for Mexicana de Aviación, one of Mexico's largest and oldest carriers. It served smaller domestic routes, channeling passengers to Mexicana's main hub operations and expanding the reach of the Mexicana network throughout the country. The airline operated regional turboprop and regional jet aircraft suited to shorter routes and airports with lower traffic volumes. As a regional affiliate, its operations were closely tied to Mexicana's scheduling and commercial strategy. When Mexicana de Aviación suspended operations in August 2010 following financial difficulties and ultimately ceased flying, MexicanaLink's operations were also severely impacted. The collapse of the parent brand effectively ended MexicanaLink's commercial activity as well.
