Camair-co

Camair-co (Cameroon Airlines Corporation) is the national airline of Cameroon, established to replace the defunct Cameroon Airlines (Camair) which ceased operations in 2008. The carrier was incorporated in 2006 and began commercial operations in March 2011, offering both domestic and regional international services. The airline operates routes connecting major Cameroonian cities such as Douala and Yaoundé with destinations across Central and West Africa, as well as select intercontinental routes. Despite its mandate as the national flag carrier, Camair-co has faced persistent financial difficulties, operational disruptions, and fleet challenges throughout its history. The Cameroonian government holds a majority stake in the airline, and Camair-co has undergone several restructuring efforts in attempts to achieve financial sustainability. The carrier has struggled with debt, aging aircraft, and competition from other regional airlines.
