Ørsta-Volda Airport, Hovden

Ørsta-Volda Airport, Hovden (IATA: HOV) is a regional airport located on the island of Hovden in Ørsta municipality, Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It serves the twin towns of Ørsta and Volda and the surrounding Sunnmøre region, providing essential air links for communities that are otherwise difficult to access due to the rugged fjord landscape. The airport is operated by Avinor, the Norwegian state-owned company responsible for most of the country's civil airports. Due to the challenging terrain and relatively low passenger volumes, the airport receives public service obligation (PSO) subsidies to maintain regular air connectivity. The runway is short, limiting operations to smaller turboprop aircraft suited to the demanding approach conditions.
