The Sukhoi Superjet 100-95 (SSJ100) is a twin-engine narrow-body regional jet developed by Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company, a subsidiary of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC). It was designed to replace aging Soviet-era regional jets and was developed in partnership with several Western aerospace firms, including Alenia Aermacchi, which held a stake in the program. The aircraft seats up to 98 passengers in a single-class configuration and is powered by SaM146 turbofan engines, jointly developed by PowerJet, a partnership between Safran Aircraft Engines and Russia's Saturn. It entered commercial service in 2011 with Aeroflot and was marketed as a competitive option in the 75–100 seat regional market. The SSJ100 has faced significant challenges including maintenance difficulties caused by supply chain issues, particularly following Western sanctions imposed after 2022, which severely disrupted access to Western-sourced components. Russia has since pursued an import-substituted variant, the SSJ-New (SJ-100), featuring domestically sourced systems and engines.

The Yakovlev SJ-100 is a regional jet originally designed by the now-merged Russian aircraft company Sukhoi Civil Aircraft, a division of the United Aircraft Corporation. With development starting in 2000, it made its maiden flight on 19 May 2008 and its first commercial flight on 21 April 2011 with Armavia.
