Air Bosna

Air Bosna was the flag carrier of Bosnia and Herzegovina, established in the mid-1990s following the dissolution of Yugoslavia and the end of the Bosnian War. The airline operated scheduled passenger services connecting Sarajevo with destinations across Europe, serving as a symbol of the country's post-war reconstruction and reconnection with the wider world. The carrier faced significant financial and operational challenges throughout its existence, struggling to compete in a liberalizing European aviation market. Air Bosna ceased operations in 2003 after failing to secure sufficient financial support and passengers, leaving Bosnia and Herzegovina without a national flag carrier for a period. Following Air Bosna's collapse, B&H Airlines and later Fly Bosnia emerged to fill the gap in Bosnian commercial aviation. Air Bosna remains a notable chapter in the country's aviation history as its first post-war national airline.
