İstanbul Airport (IST) is the primary international airport serving Istanbul, Turkey, and one of the largest airports in the world by terminal size. It was built on the Black Sea coast in the Arnavutköy district on the European side of Istanbul, replacing Atatürk Airport as the city's main hub. The airport is operated by İGA Airports Construction and Industry Inc. under a build-operate-transfer agreement with the Turkish government. It serves as the primary hub for Turkish Airlines, one of the world's largest carriers by number of destinations. Designed to ultimately handle up to 200 million passengers annually at full build-out, the airport opened its first phase in 2018 and has rapidly grown into a major connecting hub between Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.

The airport currently operates a single massive integrated terminal building that is among the largest in the world by floor area, with additional phases and concourses planned for future expansion.

The airport is connected to Istanbul's city center via the M11 metro line, as well as by Havaist airport bus services and taxis.
