Korean Air

Korean Air is the flag carrier and largest airline of South Korea, founded in 1969 following the privatization of the state-owned Korean Air Lines. Headquartered in Seoul, it operates an extensive global network spanning Asia, the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Oceania, serving over 120 cities in more than 40 countries. The airline operates one of the most modern and diverse fleets in Asia, including wide-body aircraft such as the Boeing 747, 777, 787 Dreamliner, and Airbus A380 and A330 series. Korean Air is a founding member of the SkyTeam global airline alliance and has consistently ranked among the world's leading international carriers in terms of cargo and passenger traffic. Korean Air is a subsidiary of the Hanjin Group, one of South Korea's largest conglomerates. The airline has expanded its presence significantly in recent years, including a landmark merger agreement with fellow South Korean carrier Asiana Airlines, which received regulatory approvals and was progressing through 2024.
