Onur Air is a Turkish private airline founded in 1992 and headquartered in Istanbul, Turkey. Originally established as a charter carrier, it grew to become one of Turkey's largest private airlines, operating both charter and scheduled services to destinations across Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia. The airline primarily serves leisure travelers and operates seasonal charter flights for European tour operators, particularly from Germany, the United Kingdom, and Scandinavia. Onur Air has faced financial difficulties and operational suspensions at various points in its history, including a temporary grounding by Turkish aviation authorities over safety concerns in 2018. Following its 2018 suspension, Onur Air significantly scaled back operations and worked to meet regulatory requirements before resuming limited services. The airline's fleet has historically consisted of Airbus narrowbody aircraft, and it has undergone multiple restructuring efforts over the years.
