Canadian North

Canadian North is a Canadian regional airline specializing in scheduled passenger and cargo services to remote and northern communities across the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and other northern regions of Canada. The airline plays a vital role in providing essential air links to communities that are often inaccessible by road, making it a critical lifeline for residents, businesses, and government operations in the Arctic. The airline was formed through the merger of First Air and Canadian North in 2019, combining two of the longest-serving northern carriers in Canada. The merged entity operates under the Canadian North brand and is majority-owned by the Inuit development corporation Makivik Corporation, along with the Inuvialuit Regional Corporation.
