Connecting Brazil's regional cities with reliable air service.
Founded
1998
Headquarters
Campinas, Brazil
TRIP Linhas Aéreas was a Brazilian regional airline that operated scheduled passenger services to smaller cities and towns across Brazil, particularly in underserved interior regions. Founded in 1998, the carrier grew to become one of Brazil's largest regional airlines, filling a critical gap in domestic connectivity.
TRIP operated a fleet primarily composed of turboprop and regional jet aircraft suited to shorter runways in regional destinations. The airline built a strong presence in states such as Minas Gerais, Goiás, and the Amazon basin, serving routes that larger carriers typically bypassed.
In 2012, TRIP merged with Azul Brazilian Airlines, with the combined entity eventually operating under the Azul brand. The integration allowed Azul to significantly expand its regional network and fleet, effectively absorbing TRIP's operations and infrastructure by around 2014.
Hubs & network
TRIP primarily operated from Campinas–Viracopos International Airport and maintained a broad regional network across interior Brazil.
Fleet
TRIP operated a mixed fleet including ATR 42, ATR 72 turboprops, and Embraer regional jets such as the ERJ-145.
