JetBlue Airways

JetBlue Airways is a major American low-cost carrier headquartered in Long Island City, New York. Founded in 1998 and commencing operations in 2000, the airline quickly distinguished itself by offering amenities such as free in-flight entertainment, complimentary snacks, and more legroom than typical budget competitors. JetBlue primarily serves destinations across the United States, Caribbean, Latin America, and select transatlantic routes including London. The airline operates primarily out of John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, which serves as its main hub, along with focus cities in Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Long Beach, and Orlando. In recent years JetBlue launched a transatlantic service to London Gatwick and Heathrow, positioning itself as a premium-value option on those routes with its Mint business class product. The airline attempted to acquire Spirit Airlines but the deal was blocked by U.S. regulators in 2024.
