Fa'a'ā International Airport (IATA: PPT, ICAO: NTAA) serves Papeete, the capital of French Polynesia, on the island of Tahiti. It is the primary international hub for the territory and the busiest airport in French Polynesia, handling connections between Tahiti and destinations across the Pacific, North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. The airport is operated by the territory of French Polynesia and sits on reclaimed land on the northwestern coast of Tahiti, adjacent to the lagoon. Air Tahiti Nui, the flag carrier of French Polynesia, is based here and operates long-haul flights to Paris, Los Angeles, and Tokyo, among other destinations. Air Tahiti, the domestic inter-island carrier, also hubs at Fa'a'ā, providing essential connectivity to the territory's far-flung island groups including the Marquesas, Tuamotu, and Austral Islands.
