For something more substantial, the sit-down restaurant in the departure lounge serves a rotating menu that includes shopska salad, grilled fish fresh from the Black Sea coast, and hearty kavarma — a slow-cooked meat and vegetable stew that tastes like a Bulgarian grandmother's Sunday effort. Portions are generous and prices, while slightly elevated by airport standards, are far more reasonable than you'd encounter at Western European hubs.
