Luxembourg-Findel International Airport

Luxembourg-Findel International Airport is the primary and only international airport serving the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, located approximately 6 kilometers east of Luxembourg City. It serves as the main hub for Luxair, the national carrier, and is a significant cargo hub for Cargolux, one of Europe's largest all-cargo airlines. The airport has undergone significant modernization over the decades, with a major terminal expansion completed in 2008 that greatly increased passenger capacity and improved facilities. Despite Luxembourg's small size, Findel handles millions of passengers annually and connects the country to major European and select intercontinental destinations. Findel's cargo operations are particularly notable, with Cargolux operating a large fleet of Boeing 747 freighters from the airport, making Luxembourg a disproportionately important node in global air freight logistics relative to the country's population.
