Embraer 195

The Embraer 195 is a narrow-body, twin-engine regional jet developed by Brazilian manufacturer Embraer as the largest member of its E-Jet family, which also includes the E170, E175, and E190. It entered commercial service in 2006 and seats up to approximately 122 passengers in a single-class configuration, offering a wider cabin than traditional regional jets. The aircraft features a 2-2 seating arrangement across all rows, eliminating the middle seat common on smaller regional jets and providing a more comfortable passenger experience. It is powered by CFM56-5E turbofan engines and competes primarily with the Airbus A318 and Boeing 737-600 at the smaller end of the mainline market. The E195 has found wide adoption among carriers looking to serve thinner routes with a right-sized aircraft without sacrificing passenger comfort. An updated successor, the Embraer E195-E2, entered service in 2019, offering significantly improved fuel efficiency and range.
