Czech Airlines (CSA) is the flag carrier of the Czech Republic, operating scheduled passenger and cargo services across Europe, the Middle East, and select long-haul destinations. Founded in 1923, it is one of the oldest continuously operating airlines in the world and has long served Prague's Václav Havel Airport as its primary hub. The airline has undergone significant restructuring over the decades, including partial privatization and changes in ownership. Korean Air acquired a stake in the carrier, and Czech Airlines has been integrated into a closer operational relationship with Travel Service (later Smartwings), which became its majority owner. Despite financial challenges and fleet reductions, Czech Airlines continues to operate under its historic brand and IATA code OK, maintaining a network of European routes and contributing to Czech Republic's international connectivity.

Hubs & network

Czech Airlines operates primarily from Václav Havel Airport Prague (PRG) as its main hub.

Fleet

Czech Airlines has operated narrowbody aircraft including Airbus A319 and A320 family jets in recent years.

Encyclopaedia

Czech Airlines is a Czech airline brand and holding company. Established in 1923, it was part of the privately owned Smartwings Group since 2017. After filing for bankruptcy in 2021 and undergoing reorganization, it ceased independent air operations and was transformed into the holding's parent company on 26 October 2024. In December 2025, it was announced that the Turkish low-cost airline Pegasus Airlines had signed an agreement to acquire the holding in a deal worth €154 million.
