Alaska Airlines is a major American carrier headquartered in Seattle, Washington, and is the fifth-largest airline in the United States by passenger traffic. Founded in 1932 as McGee Airways in Alaska, the airline has grown from serving remote Alaskan communities to operating an extensive domestic and international network across the continental United States, Hawaii, Canada, Mexico, and Central America.
