Cleveland Hopkins isn't exactly a foodie destination in its own right, but it's made real strides in recent years when it comes to representing the city's dining culture before you even buckle your seatbelt. The concourse options lean into local pride — you'll find Great Lakes Brewing Company's beers on tap at several spots, which is practically mandatory for any Clevelander heading out of town. If you've got time to linger, grab a seat somewhere with a pint and raise a glass to the city.
For a proper meal, Barrio is a standout — the Cleveland-born taco chain brings its signature creative fillings and bold flavors airside, making it one of the better sit-down options in the terminal. Heinen's Fine Foods, the beloved local grocery brand, also has a presence that lets travelers grab freshly made sandwiches, local snacks, and Ohio-sourced products — a genuinely thoughtful touch for anyone wanting something more than the usual airport fare. It's the kind of spot that reminds you you're specifically in Cleveland, not just any American hub.
If you're rushing to a gate, the food court options are serviceable — think familiar quick-service chains that won't surprise you but won't let you down either. That said, do yourself a favor and skip the generic options when you can. Cleveland's culinary scene has been having a serious moment, and the airport, slowly but surely, is catching up. Budget an extra twenty minutes before security if you can — it's worth it to eat something that actually tastes like this city.
