Odesa International Airport (IATA: ODS, ICAO: UKOO) serves the port city of Odesa in southern Ukraine, historically functioning as one of the country's busiest regional airports. Located approximately 8 kilometres south-west of the city centre, it handled a mix of domestic and international routes to destinations across Europe and the Middle East before large-scale disruption to Ukrainian civil aviation. Following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Ukrainian airspace was closed to commercial flights, effectively suspending operations at Odesa and all other Ukrainian civil airports. Prior to the closure, the airport was undergoing modernisation efforts intended to expand capacity and improve passenger facilities. The airport has historically been served by carriers including Ukraine International Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Wizz Air, and various charter operators, connecting Odesa to hubs such as Istanbul, Vienna, Warsaw, and other European cities.
