Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport is the main international and domestic airport serving Santiago, the capital of Chile. Named after Arturo Merino Benítez, the founder of Chile's national airline and air force, it is the busiest airport in Chile and one of the most trafficked in Latin America, handling over 20 million passengers annually before the COVID-19 pandemic. The airport underwent a major expansion and modernization program, including the construction of a new international terminal (T2) that opened in 2021, significantly increasing capacity. It serves as the primary hub for LATAM Airlines and its affiliates, as well as Sky Airline and JetSMART. Located approximately 15 kilometers northwest of downtown Santiago in the Pudahuel commune, the airport offers a range of ground transport options including the Centropuerto bus service, taxis, and rideshare apps, with a metro extension planned to improve connectivity to the city center.

The airport operates two main passenger terminals: T1 for domestic flights and T2 (opened 2021) for international flights, with a combined design capacity of around 30 million passengers per year.

Getting to & from

Ground transport to central Santiago is available via the Centropuerto express bus, taxis, rideshare services, and shuttle buses, with a planned extension of Santiago Metro Line 2 to eventually connect the airport.
