Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport is the largest and busiest airport in Taiwan, serving as the main international hub for the island. Located in Dayuan District, Taoyuan City, approximately 40 kilometers southwest of central Taipei, it handles the vast majority of international passenger and cargo traffic to and from Taiwan. The airport is home to China Airlines and EVA Air, Taiwan's two major international carriers, and serves hundreds of destinations worldwide. It consistently ranks among the top airports in Asia for passenger throughput and cargo volume. A major expansion program, including a new Terminal 3 designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, has been under development to significantly increase the airport's capacity and modernize its facilities.

The airport operates two main passenger terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, connected by a shuttle bus service and handling both international and some cross-strait flights.

Getting to & from

The Airport MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) line connects the airport directly to Taipei Main Station in approximately 35 minutes, supplemented by bus services and taxis.
