Phuket International Airport (HKT/VTSP) is the main international gateway serving Phuket Island in southern Thailand. It is the second-busiest airport in Thailand, handling tens of millions of passengers per year driven largely by the island's thriving tourism industry. The airport is located in the northern part of Phuket Island, near the town of Mai Khao, approximately 32 kilometres north of Phuket City. It operates both domestic and international routes, connecting Phuket to destinations across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Australia. Managed by Airports of Thailand (AOT), the airport has undergone significant expansion and modernisation over the years to accommodate growing passenger demand, particularly from charter and low-cost carriers serving European and Asian holiday markets.

Phuket International Airport is an international airport serving the island province of Phuket in southern Thailand. It is located 32 km (20 mi) north of the city of Phuket in the Mai Khao subdistrict of Thalang district. The airport plays a major role in Thailand's tourism industry, as Phuket is a popular resort destination. It is the third-busiest airport in Thailand in terms of passengers, after Suvarnabhumi Airport and Don Mueang International Airport in the Bangkok Metropolitan Region. The airport set a record of 15.1 million arrivals and departures in 2016, up 17.8 percent from 2015.
