Noi Bai International Airport is the primary international airport serving Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, located approximately 35 kilometres north of the city centre in Soc Son District. It is the second busiest airport in Vietnam by passenger traffic, handling tens of millions of passengers annually, and serves as a major hub for both domestic and international travel in the northern region of the country. The airport underwent significant expansion with the opening of Terminal 2 in 2015, a modern facility designed by Japanese firm Nikken Sekkei and built with support from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) funding. Terminal 1 continues to handle a portion of domestic flights, while Terminal 2 primarily serves international and some domestic routes. Noi Bai is operated by Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) and plays a critical role in Vietnam's growing aviation sector, connecting Hanoi to destinations across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and beyond.

The airport has two terminals: Terminal 1 primarily handling domestic flights and Terminal 2, opened in 2015, handling international and select domestic services.
